Mollie Dodson Kuchta, 63, of Mansfield went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, while surrounded by her family.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Moore Funeral Home (Bowen Road) in Arlington.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be sent to Cook Children's Medical Center. Mollie was born Aug. 11, 1952, to Charles and Lorena Dodson in Fort Worth. She graduated in 1970 from R.L. Paschal High School, and went on to receive a bachelor of science in nursing from TCU in 1974. Her career spanned 40-plus years, with experience in pediatric psychology, infection control and quality improvement. Mollie was a strong patient and family advocate and was an educator to many. Because of her dedication to her field and the work she did within it, she was named as a DFW Top 100 Nurse. Compassionate care and patience were second nature to Mollie, and she was well-loved by her colleagues and the patients she served.
Mollie married the love of her life, Theodore F. Kuchta Jr., on May 17, 1974. Together, they shared 41 years of marriage and a passion for faith, family and Horned Frogs football. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: Husband, Theodore Kuchta and their children, Tedd Kuchta (Michelle), Elizabeth Avalos (Kevin) and Tony Kuchta (Amber); sister, Paula Winkler (Kurt); aunt, Betty Ogletree; sister-in-law, Anne-Marie Maravilla; niece, Heidi Winkler; nephews, Trevor Winkler and Christopher Maravilla; and granddaughters, Victoria and Isabella.
